If you don't mind mauling the body, just pop it in a vise! i plucked GL's head that way, came off with great ease.

That really is the safest way to not ruin the Head. The "boil and pop" method still risks tearing the Neckplug, no matter how careful you try to be.

I was planning on both customs myself (Cap and Johnny).. If someone can provide me good easy instructs on taking the head off, I'll be grateful

(I still have the Mattel head and body in my FF suit, and would like to move it on to a T2 body..).

I worked really hard on this one. Ok, not really. The only hard part for me was getting the Head off the Mattel Body. The Suit was beautifully made by Brian Leitner. Thanks Brian.
