THis is another oricinal book character whose origins began 25 years ago. During my geeky, role-playing days, this guy was created in someone's basement back in high school. I found a box of old designs and character sheets and decided to use this guy. I basically changed nothing from his original costume. His "horns" are supposed to be more demon like instead of looking like an insect, but oh well.
Devilstar was hired by General Ulysses Shaw to kill Major Power. He comes from the west coast and is virtually unknown within Ultra City. He firmly believes he's powerful enough to eliminate the Major, but Shaw knows better. He's only a pawn in a greater scheme. He is able to tap into an other-dimensional power he calls the black fire, which not only he can form anything he desires, it also burns matter and the eats away at the soul. It's a mystical power he doesn't fully understand and doesn't care to as long as long as it help him accomplish his goals.
When he finally confronts and is soundly defeated by Major Power, he ends up in a fairly tragic position as he finally realizes he was completely used. However, in the aftermath of the battle, a stranger arrives to offer redemption...
The figure utself isn't too bad. Some of the design elements didn't translate into a Megoish style, but overall not bad. I couldn't get the green paint to match up to save my life. Green is a difficult color to use as there are millions of shades and combinations for mixing.
