Finished Karloff Frankenstein...

Finally got around to finishing this guy up... I had a blast with him and waiting on the Castaway green bodies was well worth it, as I really think it makes the figure. Those translucent green hands just scream 70's toy to me and combined with the card, make the whole presentation very retro cool. I also did a blue version on a light blue Castaway body for a customer who requested it. The suit is custom dyed a grayish black and the textured shirt is also custom made. I've also made a few of these on the EMCE bodies, utilizing the hands, boots and some of the clothes, per request. Had to use the bubble as well to accommodate the bigger boots. I have a few left, so anyone interested in one can PM me.

Anthony, it doesn't quite glow but it is really translucent, so when light comes through it, it kinda has that look to it. It's super cool and very retro looking. I dunno, it just reminds me of plastic toys I had in the 70's. It really hits that nostalgia nerve for me.

Thanks for the great cards, too. Everyone comments on how cool the cards for this series are.

It's pretty easy to do. It's best to use clear resin with the GITD additive and pressure cast for perfect results. Regular gravity/hand pour clear resin gets you alot of trapped air bubbles and poor results.

Well, that didn't take long. Too bad Castaway can't make any more of those amazing green bodies. I can still make these for those who would like one, but unfortunately I only had 6 of those beauties. I can dye the hands green on some of the other CAT bodies I have. It looks pretty cool, too... Or if anyone else wants the blue version, it looks awesome on a light blue CAT body. I'm also looking into Anthony's idea of making the head and hands GLOW IN THE DARK...
