Amefurikozō (雨降り小僧, "rainfall Boy") is a weather spirit illustrated by Toriyama Sekien in his Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki.
He appears as a strange child carrying a paper lantern and wearing a hat made from the husk of an old umbrella. According to Sekien, he is in service of U-shi, a Chinese god of precipitation, and thus has the power to make the rain fall.
Here's my Amefuri-Kozou action figure.I sculpted his Head and his Geta(wooden sandals),and his paper lantern from Clay( Claystone). His body is a CTVT child body(5inch)which I dyed grey with Rit Fabric dye).Tomoko sewed his kimono and she made his umbrella husk hat from paper and cardboard.I painted all sculpted parts plus his hat and forearms & legs(to match the gray of the face)with acrylic paints and sealed with Mod-Podge.
