    The Mighty Thor

I present my custom Thor! I have been working on this figure for a year and a half.

I took a Doc Mego body, made the legs buffer, then took a cast of a Remco chest, then added some wrestler arms. The head is a Thor head copy that I sculpted the hair and helmet. The wings are off of some wedding cake doves. I had to sculpt the lower part of the wings. I made the costume, used Cast Away boots with craft foam for the top and craft foam for the belt. I used some vinyl for the belt buckle and the black stripes on the boots.
The Silver dots are stickers I found in the scrapbook isle of Hobby Lobby and painted silver. The final piece, the Hammer is from the five inch boxed Avengers set. The hammer was way too big for that figure, but I think looks just right for Mego sized! Plus it has the writing on it.

Well, I still have not figured out how to get the pics to show up in the thread instead of just the link. Anyone know how to do it?

Next to the "insert link" button is the "insert Image" button - use that the same way you would the link. I opened a photo copy and pasted the url into the "insert image" and here is the result.

Didn't work, I'm not sure why - that's what I usually do and it's worked before.

Really sweet looking figure. Hammer does fit well.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Very Nice. I like it. Seems like Mego was on the right path with the headsculpt...just a little too much hair. The new body you gave him though is what makes the figure. Nice Work.

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you.

I did it in the usual way (see test section) and it didn't work. So then I removed all the characters after .jpg in the photo address and that fixed the problem.

                            Exactly.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
