If being a ******bag was a super power, Challenger would be amongst the most powerful. His billionaire parent were killed in a failed robbery, and he spent every waking moment training, studying and dilligently working to...double his parent's fortune. He is now the owner of a cable channel and has his own show called Challenger of Mystery where he goes around the world solving alien abductions, fighting otherworldy beings and investigating the occult.
To the world he is a larger than life hero, both fearless and stalwart. In reality, his episodes are largely fake and staged. He does possess a very keen intellect and a shrewd sense of deduction, but chooses to use those skills in self promotion. Off camera he is an intolerant, insufferable and arrogant jackwad.
Recently, an inter-dimensional, and relatively benign, demon became aware of his exploits, thinking him to be a master of all things arcane. He teleported him into his realm to ask his assistance in stopping an uprising that would send hordes of hellish demon soldiers into this reality. Can someone who pretends to be a hero every day suddenly find it within himself to save Ultra City?
