    Namahage(Japanese Boogie-man)

The Namahage is a type of Oni(ogre/demon),from Akita prefecture, which is used by Japanese Parents to scare disobedient children into behaving(much like the western Boogie-man).I sculpted his head, knife, and scab-bucket from Clay.I made his straw outfit from twine. And all the sculpted parts were painted with acrylics and sealed with Modpodge. The body is a red castaway's.

I like the use of the orange body and the way you made the straw outfit. Great sculpt, too!

Love the head John. It would make a cool Bigfoot or Yeti if you took off the horns too.

Thanks everyone. And Mike, the pic lightened the color, his body is actually red in real life. And John you're right without horns (and with a different paint color),he would make a good Yeti or Bigfoot I think.

Thanks Goblin,Sandy,Laurie, and Cat.And Laurie the Hair color was one of Tomoko's suggestions(I was going to give him black at first, but I'm glade I went with Tomoko's idea).Oh also the body looks a little lighter in the pics(its actually a Castaway Red body though).
