    Nuppeppo

The Yokai Known as a Nuppeppo is a genderless walking lump of decaying flesh with stumpy short arms and legs, with the hint of a face in the folds of fat,and a very pungent body odor(just like the rotting flesh it is). It is estimated to reach up to 1.5m in height. The Nuppeppo is said to be passive and unaggressive. It is also said that those who eat the flesh of a Nuppeppo shall have eternal youth. The Nuppeppo is said to aimlessly wander the deserted streets of villages, towns and cities, often at night towards the year-end, or graveyards or abandoned temples. The Nuppeppo is also sometimes described as a "Frankenstein"of bits of rotting flesh. The Nuppeppo has made many appearances in several films, including the classic yokai monsters trilogy made in the late 60's. This horrible creature also appears in the Wii game Oboro Muramasa Youtouden (Muramasa: the Demon Blade) as a fairly inoffensive but thoroughly unpleasant random encounter. Also, in the Wii game Okami, inside a sunken ghost ship, there is a creature that resembles the Nuppeppo.
Here's my Nuppeppo action figure.I sculpted over a Flesh colored CTVT body with clay.I took off the forearms(kind of like I did with my Hyakume)and attached the hands to the biceps(so he has hands that can bend up and down ),I also removed the lower legs and sculpted stumpy feet onto the thigh.I painted the entire body with acrylics and sealed with Mod-podge.

    another hit, John

Are you talking about 100 Monsters and Spook Monsters?
It would be fun to see some of the inspiration for your yokai run. Any other yokai movie suggestions?

Thanks Rche,Jerry, and Bill, glade you guys like my weirdest Yokai yet(there's one that tops this one but not sure if I would be able to show that one if I made it).And Rche the Movie series from the 60's he appears is known as "Spook Warfare"here in America(there are other names too I think, and the Japanese name is "Yokai Dai Sensoo" that's "The Great Yokai War"in English. They made a remake in 2005(which is known in the States as"The Great Yokai War"http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425661/) that it appears in as well and that's the 1st place I saw it.While I was sculpting I used an image of an illustration from one of the old Japanese scrolls as a model.

Damn Joe, this one is definitely up there on the list of weirdest yokai.
From the description alone I was thinking it was something like a zombie, which would've been appropriate seeing all the new zombie figures on the boards

Thanks PM,FS,and Cat!And Cat great to hear you and the adopted Yokai all got back safely to Australia.I haven't actually made that Yokai yet.I was actually deciding on wither or not I should make him, since they might not let me show(at least what makes that Yokai special) it in a lot of places. The Yokai's name is Shiri-me(Shiri is short for Butt in Japanese and Me of coarse means eye),so all you have to do is take a look at my Tenome figure to figure out what the Shirime's special feature is.I think I will make him though(because Tomoko said after all it is art).If and when I do actually make him,I will send you pics for sure Cat.
