As a graphic designer, I'd really like to know how you "built" the box… Is that a photo of the CTVT Witch doctored up in Photoshop? Or did you do a painting? Is there a box template in the custom Mego section? Not looking for a tutorial, just more details about your creative process if you don't mind sharing...
Great box, but wouldn't you pose "HER" in any action position?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

The head of the witch was made up with a picture of a hag/witch mask and a picture of a lady with long gray hair. The arm comes from a picture of a Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch statue. But I needed different hands. After searching around the net and being frustrated, I downloaded Daz3D and eeked out enough understanding to use their female model to render out the hand poses and positions I wanted.
Still, I had to rough up and recolor the attractive female hands, I did not extend out the nails because the figure hands didn't have long nails. I put the clasped hand on the photo of the old style broom and had the other pointing/reaching out in true Mad Monster Gray Morrow fashion.
The background comes from a scan of a painted background I had on hand which was recolored and streaked in places with the dodge tool (to suggest "power" coming from the witch).
The smoke in front of the witch is sky clouds recolored.
And I did my usual routine of throwing filters at it and painting it by hand to get it to a more illustrated look.

Thank you for the info. I'm always curious to know more about the whole creative process behind the custom projects I see here at the Mego Museum. Having dabbled in the world of 3D with Poser, it's kool to read that you used Daz3D. I can say Daz3D and Poser are definitely tricky but worth the effort for the results that can be achieved. I didn't know who illustrated the original Mad Monsters, so I'll also be looking into the art of Gray Morrow.
