The Kuro-bokko(くろぼっこ) is a benevolent spirit that is said to reside in the outdoor storage room(which most oldstyle Japanese houses have)of a happy home. He can sometimes be heard(but never seen) shuffling about there from time to time and they are also said to aid the family in times of trouble(like putting fires and foiling robbery attempt). It is said that as long as there is love and harmony in the home this gentle spirit shall always remain.
Here's my Kuro-bokko action figure.I sculpted his head from clay. For the body I used a CTVT Startrek type body(with black boots)which I sculpted(from clay) new hands over the hands and new lower legs over the boots.I made his staff from a wooden chop-stick to which I added some details with clay.I made his straw outfit from Rope/twine.I painted all sculpted parts with accrylic paints and sealed with Mod-podge.

Some new group shots will be coming soon once I have the Yokai leader Nurarihyon's Kimono finished. For more pics of my Yokai figures go here: Pictures by yokaijohn001 - Photobucket
