    Inugami

The Inugami (犬神, lit. "dog god")of Japanese folklore is a type of shikigami(式神)Yokai, similar to a familiar spirit, resembling, and usually originating from, a dog, and most commonly carrying out vengeance or acting as guardians on behalf of the inugami-mochi, or "inugami owner". Inugami are extremely powerful and capable of existing independently, as well as turning on their "owners" and even possessing humans. My Inugami action figure represents an Inugami that has taken possession of his former Onmyoji(Japanese Sorcerer) Master.
I Sculpted his Akita/Dog head from clay over a CTVT bruce head,I also sculpted his Sandals and tall eboshi cap from clay as well.I used a CTVT repro wolf-man body.I used an Emce startrek Keeper robe for his onmyoji robe.I painted all the sculpted parts with acrylics and sealed with ModPodge sealant.

The sandals are cool, but that sculpt is fantastic. Well done, John

Thanks Mike,PM,Cat,and Thomas!Glade you guys like.I wanted more authentic onmyoji robes(but my wife has been too busy to sew,and I just about get enough time to sculpt, but not enough to learn to sew),but I think the keeper robe is close enough(it certainly does have a wizard-like quality to it).
