    Star Trek & Space 1999 - 1st time...

    Hey all-
Just recently joined the site, I've been doing custom work on 3 ¾ figures for a few years :
    http://actionfiguresdamnit.blogspot.com/

I just recently (inspired by some folks here) to try my hand at Mego Customs.
My skill level is low, so most are just head swaps, with an attempt at some painting.
It’s my first time - so be gentle !

Alan Carter - head swap from the red flight suit onto Dan (melt face) Mateo and an arm replacement , Belt from Classic TV Toys.com

Security Team (Space 1999) all repro parts – bodies, heads belts and suits from Classic TV Toys.com. Heads used: POTA Astronaut and Little John

Commander John Koenig (Space 1999) all repro parts – bodies , belt and suit from Classic TV Toys.com, cast head from Dr Mego

The Klingon Kras from TOS episode Fridays Child (maybe has too much hair?) all repro parts – head swap with Blackbeard repro from Classic TV Toys.com

Enterprise Security Team (a.k.a. Dead Men) head swaps, gold ranks removed from repro Scotty dolls. Will Scarlett & Lancelot repro heads from Classic TV Toys.com, Shazam head from Ebay

Bele the Cheron (Frank Gorshin) TOS :Let That Be Your Last Battlefield
Repros Batman head, grey shirt from Ebay, Will Scarlet body and grey pants

Romulan Commander: 1974 Aquaman body, recast head off ebay, boots and jumpsuit from Repro Galahad, sash from old pillow case

That Kras looks pretty good in the Klingon outfit.. I'll have to remember that idea.

      Nice work

For Koenig, when you paint eyes ... after the black is dry get a toothpick and dip it in a dab of white paint (just a little baby size drop)

Then put a tiny drop of white to the right center of both eyes ...

It will make a big difference and help bring your figures to life.

Gotta have a couple of red shirts in every Trek crew

I started a kitbash thread a few weeks ago that would be great for these type customs...you should post and give your recipe and cost on figures...lets other people see how you did them. PS love the blackbeard klingon.
