The van itself isn't all that expensive (depending of course in what condition you buy it), but maybe if you didn't add the music to your second van I'd be somewhat cheaper?
I'd love to see a distressed van, but this one looks so nice I'd have a hard time too destroying the paint job.

I love it, the vibe is so 70s to begin with it just works.

I hear ya. It was the lasercut logo and headlights that really pushed it over budget--buying a cheap beater turned out to be more expensive in the long run... The sound card was only $8!

Still, I'm saving my pennies to finish the airplane.

That is totally sweet. I love everything about it. Great job. I really want to see it distressed though. Seems more appropriate. The stickers would probably work great for that effect.

Aha, but couldn't you make the logo out of foam or cardboard? It'll look less good and cheaper, but for a distressed and rusty van that might actually work better

Actually, I have a second logo, 2 for the price of one. If I can ever find a cheap beater I'll do it, ok? Promise.

That is one awesome-looking van!!! The idea of putting in the Shambala sound card was brilliant.

And I like the "clean" look: it makes it seem like a toy that was actually made in the '70s. (Though stickers will work well without breaking that First Law of Mego Aesthetics.)

This is a very cool project. Can't wait to see the arrival of Oceanic 815!

Yeah, I know I'm pestering you , but I really wanna see both versions. This clean van is too nice to mess it up
