    Terror on the POTA

This is Jason the main character from Marvel Comics Terror on the POTA. Great storyline took most of the 29 issues to tell. I have started with a reference page. I think I'm gonna give him a leather loincloth rather than the fur.

Just yesterday, I was planning on making a post about customs based on the old Curtis POTA magazine. That Jason looks great! I hope you make an Alexander. I also want a coonskin cap wearing chimpanzee. I guess I could dress up a Mego Cornelius in Mego Davey Crocket's clothes.

It's my favorite because I remember living in a small midwest town with only a pharmacy that sold comics and only 2 POTA comics were ordered every month and I would get there the day they came out and hangggggggggggggggggggggg until they put them out so I could read the next adventure of Jason and Alexander. I would be so upset when they would not have a Terror story that month and have to wait for the next month. I grew to appreciate the other stories later.

I bought all of my POTA mags at our local pharmacy too. That was also the only place I ever saw AHI Apemen hanging on the pegs.

I always wanted baboon characters. I figured they'd be pirates, highway men/bandits/marauders, living on the fringe of Apes society, abiding by no one's rules or laws.

In one of the earliest drafts of the PLANET script, there were baboons and they were going to be the lowest rung of society... I'm glad they didn't go that route, I can't see them fitting in...

Looks great! That is such an incredible idea. I have some of the Curtis Mags framed and hanging in my house.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

The Unpublished Doug Moench Apes Stories

Moench, the writer for the series has some unpublished stories, including the next Terror chapter.

I longed for this series when it was originally published. Like Renegade, I felt "robbed" when I plunked my money down and there was no Jason/Alexander story to be had. Never liked the others as much. Ploog's art just brought the story to life for me. Something that I never felt Sutton was able to duplicate. So far I have customs of Jason, Alexander and Grimaldi, with WIP's on Malaquena, Steely Dan, Gunpowder Julius, Brutus, Warko, mutant, the gorilla archers and Lightsmith.

Not being a smart-a** here, but do you have any plans to create the "Brains in Jars"?
