    It's Ted Grant, aka Wildcat!

So, I didn't get my JSA finished when I wanted them. But with work and everything else I've been plugging away. I just finished Wildcat today. His head is (obviously) a resin Batman head, with modified ears, cheeks, and nose. I sewed the suit and did the painting. I'm especially proud of the feet - I sculpted them onto original Mego ones. The only problem is that the paint gets scraped off too easily, so I might end up buying a Cheron body and replacing the flesh one at some point. I also might swap the CHIPS hands with actual fists, but I think these look ok for now. They're a little more clenched than regular ones.

Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

I always love seeing Wildcat customs, and yours is no exception. I think the hands are fine as is. The only thing I'd add to this very cool figure is grey wrist wraps. That would really compliment the grey on his mask. Very, very nice. One of my all-time favorite characters.

                Nice job.

That looks great Amy, and very close to what Mego would've done

I thought about that, but I'm going for an early JSA look, and he usually didn't wear those until more recent years. For reference, I was using a trade paperback that collects the crossovers between the Silver Age JLA and the Golden Age JSA. This version of him usually has plain black hands, sometimes with the fingers cut out of his gloves. I also noticed that the straps hanging off the chin of his mask are usually absent until more recently too.

Great work! Can never have enough Golden Age customs, and Wildcat is one of my favourite characters!

Good call on the fist wraps too... I dont think they showed up until the 1970's and eighties. The chin straps were on the original golden age artwork, but were abscent in the revived era, again until the seventies or eighties.
