My Pride and Joy (in Mego form) lots of pics.

This is a follow up to the complicated shirt. Which was rather complicated to do lol. Its still not perfect but I will be making another shirt using what I learned this time around.

This is one of my characters whom I'm using a comic book that sometime in the near future I hope to publish. Her name is Pinion and I made her up back at the end of highschool and I've been writing stories about her ever since.

I've wanted to make a Mego of her for ages but lacked the courage. She's still not perfect but will probably always be a work in progress. She started as a badly damaged hairless (eep!) Dinah-mite I got about 10 years ago. I had to sculpt hair on to her. I tried her with the hair down at first but I didn't like it so I put it up into a bun as I often draw her when she's hero-ing. I also had to sculpt on ears as Dinah has tiny ears and Pinions are large due to her super hearing. (She's kinda sensitive about her large ears so don't bring it up to her)

I made all the clothes myself. The boots are yellow Doc Mego boots. In the comic she wears yellow Doc Martins. So I guess she's still wearing "docs".

Yes those are old sony walkman's on her belt.

She looks pretty darn cool! I love the repaint you did on Dinah's head, and the hair is great!

Normally, I don't care for sculpted do's, but really complicated ones cannot be achieved in that scale, unless they ARE sculpted.

You did a great job on the ears too

Cool, you figured out the shirt. Great job on the hair sculpt. Tell us a bit about the character.

I absolutely LOVE her. She is beautiful...her face is so pretty, and I really love her hair. I am turned off a lot of female customs because of the hair, but you have outdone yourself. She looks even better than your comic!

We need to get her some real yellow Docs. They sold girl Docs on Ebay for a while.

She looks fantastic. Personally, I LOVE customs of original characters... The nostalgia aspect of doing something from your childhood is the real spark, but I've made some interesting customs of my own creature designs and stuff, too. They're super fun. I'm sure this one was for you!!! Great job!
