Anton is not a character . He is a leader in an anti-religious cult that gets a bad name for speaking out against Christianity. Anton may have chosen the wrong name to label his religion but he got a lot of attention for it and so be it...

I thought he created the church of satan. Or some crazy thing like that. Mainly a church for hedonist. Hmmmm wonder if it was tax exempt?

Yup; but they're actually atheists. Satan revolted against god, so they accepted him as a symbol of their rebelling against the idea OF a god. But they don't believe in him as an entity of any sort.

....and that's a neat figure!
