Hi Folks!
Welcome to the 2nd custom I've made for me! I consider the set of Teens as one.
Forgive me if I ramble. I'll try to stick to the figure.
This was on my list the first time I had the HS Dinah. Things got rough and sold it.
Watching the auctions all the time, I had won (I thought) a boxed Launcelot.
Over Thanksgiving, I had started my knights collection. By Christmas I had them all!
Just for giggles one day, I looked for HS Dinah. This HS Dinah was an hour from ending. I sniped it from someone!
The way this was coming together, must be this was the time to make her.
The bodysuit was not in the best shape, but it didn't matter. This was gonna be Guenivere!
Trying to plan the best way to do this, I looked at everything I could to get it to work.
I decided on this berry colored velvet. Then the nylon for the cape.
Not finding what I wanted for the embellishments, I cut my own out of foil stickers. First started using a paper punch, then cutting the rest to make them round...ugh! Kept thinking "there's GOT to be an easier way!"
Month or so later, I found this neat gadget used to measure crochet needles. It was perfect for marking the circles. For the next few weeks, I then hand cut over 300 of them!
Got those cut out and decided to make the dress. I first picked up fur for the trim. What a joke! I went back the next day and got fuzzy felt. Much better! Measured what I needed and picked the loose fuzz off.
The nylon for the cape sat for a long time. This is the stuff that frays when you look at it! Can't have that.
Always experimenting, I tried superglue on the edges. Figure it was thin enough to where I could run a quick bead along the edges, without to much contact. It worked. Looks a bit dark, but oh well.
Coming nicely. Dress sewn up, now time for the embellishments! Following the pattern on the proto, I picked the paper backings off them, and placed them! Fun, fun. Now, noticing, they might not stick very well, I had to use fabric glue. This was after I had most of them on.
At this point, dress is done! But it needed more! I didn't care for the crown. A tiara! Yes! Guess what? I had to make my own! I bought gold earring metal used for jewlry making. Not the stuff on a roll. That was too thick/thin.
Going by a design I liked, I hand formed my own. None of my tiara had the hoops, loops, bends or twists. Amazing how you can utilize small screwdrivers and nails!
The top section, I spent a couple days with 2 hammers to flatten and form it just right! Oh, and of course needle nose pliers. Once I had it all the way I wanted it, I soldered it.
The necklace beads came from the same earring material. That was pretty easy.
To finish her off, I used the black Supergirl shoes I've had. I tried Dorothy shoes, but didn't like them.
So, this was my winter project!
Thanks for reading all this, T

Just in 7/12/10! This beautiful box by Mike A.K.A. Mego73!
Colors are eye poping, custom insert made for the female. Can't see it because I was anxious to get her in it!
I chose the gray banner color because of the legends sordid past.
Mike worked very hard on this project! Always kept me in touch.
My thanks to Mike for all he does!
