The Blob & Some of the "Brotherhood"

For the longest time my daughter has been trying to figure out how we can achieve a figure of the Blob. He has been in all the cartoons she has seen from the original X-Men to the latest X-Men Cartoon.
When he made his appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine...it was time.

Doing research, I found out that that this character is listed at 8 feet in height and nearly 1,000 lbs. So, I had to get creative.
My daughter and I were walking around Toys R Us and she grabbed a (lets see if some of you can guess what big fat thing I used ) and she said, "Can we use this body for the Blob."
I looked at it and said, "no way....that dopey face and the thing on his head.

After a little determination and dragging my heals. I wanted to capture a really weird and out of shape bad guy.

    So....
I cut the face off....(seriously and I reconstructed a new face with sculpty, removing the hat and adding hair.)

The body suit for this big guy took a bit. I had to measure the big tub of plastic and cut around. The material is almost black spandex and stretching it to its max was the trick. I had to make it look like this guy was a fat tub with man boobs and a gut....so I used a large amount of sculpty in the front and round it off and then stretch the black spandex over him giving him that "tubby guy" in the stretchy suit

Yeah, laugh away. It is just a character I wanted to make with my idea and a bunch of sculpty. Oddly enough, he works out with his other brother hood.
This is a "WORK IN PROGRESS!"

I'm still not happy with the fat head. Anybody have anything that would work or point me to an idea that might work???

"Big Fat Head". I redid the head earlier this morning. Touching up the tone and removing the glaze seal. Darkening in his highlights and fat face. I am still getting rid of this head once I find something that fits.

It's OK Al. I meant to put this in the custom works in progress. I'm trying to find something to do with that large head.

            You did it!!

My daughter saw that fat thing and said..."This could be the Blob"

I never would have guessed anyone would figure out who it was.

Anderson! You are definitely "The man" I knew it wouldn't take long to figure out where it came from!!

Basically, a "Stuff Puff" Marsh mellow main with a spandex homemade blob suit, some sculpty and and a paint job. Once I find a decent head, he's a keeper.
