My EMCE Green Arrow + Red Arrow, Black Canary & the GA car!

I have been busier then a one legged man in an ***-kicking contest with my music but I still have time to make customs for my baby girl.
She about went into a convulsion when the mail man dropped off the EMCE Retroland (whatever it is called) Green Arrow.
I am 100% happy with it. I was thinking that I was not going to like it from looking at people's photos but until my Green Arrow figure arrived and I held it in my hands....I knew it was perfect and I can't wait for more.

I guess to start off with, I am totally honored that they have decided to release an exclusive figure of one of my favorite super heroes. Since I was old enough to read comic books, my Uncle was teasing me about what a wuss Green Arrow was. He would pull our his Justice League comic books and heckle me when Green Arrow would do something odd or off the wall. Not sure why he made fun of me for that. He even drew pictures of Green Arrow getting his face smashed in by someone but I have always loved Green Arrow.

Well, of course Green Arrow has to have his own car. I did this baby up a long time ago and I dug it up from the scrap pile to "redo" the colors and add some new components to it. We originally used green Krylon fusion that flaked off so my daughter repainted it. She was dang proud of me allowing her to paint a car to play with.
Of course, the Red Arrow and Black Canary are mine. My daughter had to have a Red Arrow as soon as he popped up in Justice League.

Lots of pictures. Bare with me..

Excuse the Cookie Crisp in the background. My daughter was eating breakfast while I was taking pictures.

Green Arrow, Black Canary and Red Arrow

Apart of my our "secret identities" Mego line we've created. We recently added Oliver Queen. I am going to take a picture of all of them when I get them finished. This is Ollie on his way to a club to pick up some action.
My daughter and I created a "bad guy bar". Basically a room carved from a card board box. Set up with home made tables, chairs and a bar. We got the idea from the JLU cartoon. It gives ideas for secret identities like Oliver Queen to walk into the bar and look around for bad guys or hunt down some criminals scum or ask questions where someone may be lurking. We use Starksy and Hutch as the detectives in the city. We have a lot of fun creating ideas and set up stuff like this.

Looks like Ollie used a roller and some Dutch Boy to paint that car.

I thought you had me on block? Do me a favor. Put me back on block. I don't really care to talk to you and I hope you do the same in the future like you promised you would. FYI My daughter painted it. She wanted to do it. I think it is cute. Not too many 11 year olds are into this type of customs and figures. I give her credit for her interest and willingness to learn and have fun.

I painted the black Batmobile next to the GA car. We originally used Krylon on the Barbie car but it flaked off. So I let her take a shot at it. I gotta give her credit. She found away to keep the paint from flaking off. She went over it with Mod Podge.

            Sacrificed a pink Barbie car.......
I love her. She's always thinking of ways to make accessories for the heroes. Barbie has been a big help.

I love it.. I haven't really looked into scaled vehicles for Megos, but that Barbie vette looks absolutely perfect. Great shade of green as well..

Cat, your daughter did a great job on the car. What the heck was I doing when I was 11? Very nice that you have the fun memories together playing with Megos. Keep on keeping on!!

Well, it is still a "work in progress". The paint job is mine but I still have not figured out what I am going to use for a wind shield or a clear bubble over the hood.
Like Al says, cut out some cardboard and paint it but then you still run the risk of it collapsing, cracking and looking like a pile of dog****.

This is a work in progress. I am a big fan of the Neal Adam's Batman era. I eventually want to make a blue Batman with long ears and a yellow bat signal but I am working on a sporty type Batmobile..
I'm sure Mr. Mouth will have something snotty to say....but I don't get on this board claiming I am the next Charlie Flatt. I just love doing this for fun and making my daughter happy.

The Batman is on my custom muscle body I designed a while ago for the "bigger" and more "muscular heroes"........
