    Contraption #5: Frankenstein's Lab

So, this is quite possibly the fifth in my ongoing "contraption" series of Frankenstein's laboratory-style props. Great for taking pictures of custom figures or displaying with Mad Monsters on a shelf.

Most of them up to this point have been Mego scale. This one, however, is Famous Covers/DC 9 inch scale.

These are made out of wood and plastic, sometimes glass and metal work into the mix too.

Oh, and that is an actual knife switch. It doesn't actually do anything, but it makes me feel good to know that it COULD. It comforts Spidey, too.

I never mentioned before, but these are for sale. If anyone is interested let me know. I sold two others, but I have this one and another (slightly less flashy) one still around.

    Thanks for looking!

Another beauty, very cool that the switch just isn't there for show, but actually works

nice, it'd be cool to see a whole set up of this stuff in black and white.

This is the other contraption that I have. File me under "not smart enough to take enough pictures". I sold the other two and never got a picture of them together, which was actually the whole point of making more than one, I wanted to set up a laboratory. Ah, well. Live and learn.

This is a scale shot with my unfinished by megolicious Punisher and Spidey.

Thanks again for looking. (and special thanks to members who comments, it really makes my day!)

Hey, that is a really cool looking and very lab-like contraption. I dig it.

Cool contraptions sir! The B&W pics really give it that monster movie look....neat stuff!

That Punisher is pretty slick too!

Yeah, that B/W pic is extra cool.
I guess you could saw off a little piece of the bottom of that first contraption to make it Mego scale if you wanted (or anyone buying it). I'd buy it but it's too high for where I want to use it sadly

See, I'm not sure how big one would have to be to actually be "mego scale". I mean the machine could be taller than a figure, couldn't it? In real life terms, I mean. Spider-Man is taller than the other machine I think, so really I feel like it could go either way. Who's to say how big an imaginary thing is.

It was very amateur hour of me not showing off the bottom one, when I sold the other two. Not thinking. Besides, if shipping were any higher I could have gotten on a plane and delivered it by hand.

I'm making some more pieces, so this time I can get a nice lab shot.

IF, someone were interested, I could throw it on the table saw and trim it down a bit.

I think it works for both scales.

I mentioned sawing off the bottom to get it Mego scaled based on how Spidey is handling the knife switch. Since a Mego is smaller he'd have to reach higher (too high even maybe)
