    The son of Satan...Damion Hellstrom

No, I am not a Satanist but...I have always had a fascination with this character. His name is Daimon Hellstrom: The son of Satan.

But the Happy Xmas part I am serious about! Happy Xmas!

You know, I read somewhere where this was the first custom that Paul Clarke (Dr. Mego) did when he was younger. I guess if it really wasn't for this fella here, Dr. Mego might never had got the spunk to get creative and start mix matching costumes and heads.

My daughter has been into the Defenders because I read the back issues to her for bedtime stories. Since then, I have been on a mission to create them. Damion Hellstorm has been my focus this week.

Daimon Hellstrom stands next to his wife, Pasty Walker aka Hellcat. Some nice guy on this board that goes by CTC sent me a XMAS present. They are smaller cat-feet with toe claws. I will probably being doing some surgery to Hellcat later on and removing the feet I made and replacing them with the XMAS present. People on here are so cool. Especially when you got members like CTC sending out XMAS presents to make my customs better. I must say, this board has become quite the family I would have never expected.

    Here is Daimon Hellstrom...

The head is a constructed and resclupted head I got from CTVT's website and fixed up the hair.
The two sided cape was created by me. You can't see the other side but it is blazing red.

The boots are CTVT's and were cut and reshaped by me.

The paints are mine creation along with the belt and wrist bands.

The branded pentagram is my creation. Getting that thing to look like it was burned into his chest was a nightmare. Thank you whomever sent me those Pentagram decals. It was mighty nice of you but they didn't look right on the doll and I just decided to do it myself. No offense.

Actually, we are both wrong Joe.

I had to crack out my Defender's comics last night because the stuff on the Internet is contradicting itself.

Apparently his name is pernounced and spelled Daimon Hellstrom. At one peroid in his career, Daimon Hellstrom changed his name to "HellStorm" notice the R and the O are switched around as in here.

Hellstorm - Marvel Universe: The definitive online source for Marvel super hero bios.

The Defender's comics spell his real name Daimon Hellstrom and the official Wikipedia spells it Daimon Hellstrom.
          As you see here
Daimon Hellstrom - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apparently he has had several name changes in his bibliography.

          As Hellstorm
          Druid #1, 4
          Fantastic Four 1999
          Hellcat #2–3
          Hellstorm: Prince of Lies #1–21
          Hellstorm: Son of Satan #1–5
          Marvel Fanfare (vol. 1) #59

Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Horror 2005
          Punisher (vol. 4) #2, 4
          Secret Defenders #25
          Thunderbolts 2000
          West Coast Avengers (vol. 2) #14–15, 41
          Wolverine (vol. 2) #113–114

          As Daimon Hellstrom
Cloak and Dagger (vol. 2) #8
          Defenders (vol. 1) #122, 125, 147
          Ghost Rider (vol. 2) #1
          Hellstorm #3
          Marvel Fanfare (vol. 1) #20, 59
          New Avengers vol. 2, # 53
          Marvel Divas #4

and then as a twist in turns he simply becomes..

          Son of Satan
          Defenders (vol. 1) #24–25, 32, 62–64, 92–101, 104–109, 111–116, 118, 120–122
          Ghost Rider (vol. 2) #2-3, 17–19
          Giant-Size Defenders #2

          Incredible Hulk (vol. 2) #277
          Marvel Preview #7
          Marvel Spotlight (vol. 1) #12–24
Marvel Super Heroes: Contest of Champions #1–3
          Marvel Team-Up (vol. 1) #32, 126
          Marvel Two-In-One #14
Son of Satan (vol. 1) #1–8
Tomb of Dracula (vol. 1) #53
          Marvel Zombies 4

So there it is. The official name changes of the character Daimon Hellstrom. Not sure why the guy changes his name around. I am guessing the Hellstrom/Hellstorm thing was a writer error and they were just covering their asses with the Bibliography. Your guess is as good as mine.

                Hee heee....!

He looks great! I used to read the odd comic of his when I was a kid. (He seemed like more of a monster than a superhero.) He's also one of them characters who's background has been messed with a fair bit over the years. (Is he still the "Son of Not-Really Satan" in the comics?)

Turns out the demon that was running around saying he was "Satan" was just a lesser demon trying to pass himself off as the one. Marvel comics has never really established a real or one who really is the bibalical "Satan".

I quit following this character after the Defenders books. He popped up in recent Avengers looking all messed up and goofy. I don't care for what Marvel has transpired him into today. No thanks.

I am a sucker for the old days of comic books I guess.

Back in the 70's there was one. (If you get the "Marvel Horrors" book it reprints the Son of Satan early appearances.) They changed it in the 80's I think. Sort of to appease the concerned citizen groups, sort of to fit their new take on magic in the Marvel universe.

                        Righto.
I have the Defender's books that came out in the late 70s early 80s where "Satan" claims that he doesn't really know or if he is the real Satan. They make a comment about other "demons" who have tried to claim they were "the one."

For awhile Mephisto was being labeled as the "Satan of Marvel" it really got weird for awhile because of a bunch of Bible Bangers with no life.

I believe in shielding your kids from violence but not from evil biblical characters that are not hanging out at the local K-Mart trying to lure your kids into a van with tinted windows.

Nowadays, Daimon is all is all Gothed out and is not even a close resemblance to who or what he was when he was created. No thank you.

I am really starting to turn into those "wet rag" comic people that ***** about modern comics and want to stick to back issues from the 70s and 80s.

                          Tell me about it.

I stopped reading about him when they put the Darksoul back into him way back in the 90's with the miniseries.

The one where Patsy was a nutjob, and Daimon's backstory was all out of whack.

                          Spare me.

I do NOT like the new look and refuse to read anything with him in that dreadful get-up.

I really like the way you did him, but there's one teeensy little quibble: His expression is too innocent for someone with such a dark past.

I always saw him as a broody character, although not as broody as Batman.

It's still a cool custom though!
