This is another character I've had in the back of my mind for a long time, but I didn't know how I would do him. Now, I've recently been using John Stewart figures to do a Lantern Corps. That's left me with some extra heads. Then a couple weeks ago I glanced at the key rack in my kitchen and SHAZAM! Created by Dwayne McDuffie and MD Bright, both sadly no longer with us. Augustus Freeman is the alien champion of Dakota City. I first got interested in the character after watching the Static Shock cartoon in the early 2000s. I knew they were both Milestone characters, so I got the back issues. Since then I've loved Icon's appearances in the Young Justice cartoons. Now, all the characters are part of the main DCU, even better. Made with a John Stewart head, with black electrical tape for the mask. The eye holes are painted white. Body by classic Trek, with painted hands. Made the costume. The trim is black and yellow electrical tape. The cape is some green material I found. It looks brighter green in real life. The cape ring or harness? is an old key ring glued to the chest.
