After my love for 8 inch Mego super heroes, I think my next favorite thing right now is the Big Figs classic DC super heroes. Last year, I completed my custom Aquaman and this past weekend I finished up my Green Arrow. My goal is to always use as much original Jakks Big Fig parts as possible. This started out as a Link from Zelda with a Green Lantern head (repainted blonde.) His beard is a portion of Link’s sideburns and his hood is from a Big Figs Star Wars Mud Trooper. His quiver is from a 13” DC Direct figure; I found the arrows at Goodwill which I think are from some type of outdoor game. His bow is from a modern rack toy. I went with black pants as Link’s pants are kind of baggy and I thought the black would de-emphasize that (vs. using the lighter green.) Not perfect, but I like him. Still need to get him a box/package to fit in with the JLA. Next up (I hope) will be the Martian Manhunter (got some ideas for that.)
