In honor of the villains in the new series Lanterns. The Guardians first attempt at space cops. Being mechanical, they were more interested in punishment than justice. The renegade guardian Krona further interfered with their programming, resulting in the genocide of sector 666. They had their origins in 1940s issues of Adventure Comics when Simon and Kirby revamped the Paul Kirk character giving him a red and blue costume. Fast forward to the seventies and Kirby redid the character for First Issue Special 1. Idealistic lawyer Mark Shaw wants to dispense with that due process stuff, so he becomes the agent of the Manhunter cult. Steve Engelhart and Dick Dillin tied the Manhunters to the Lanterns in a two part Justice League story. They frame Hal Jordan for destroying a planet. In the Millennium series they menace Earth and get beaten like a drum by the League and the Lantern Corps. I loved this series. Couldn't wait for each weekly issue. Since then groups of them have shown up over the years allying with the Sinestro Corps, and Hank Henshaw. Made on a classic Trek body. Boots and hands painted. Made the head. I used a bluish more robotic looking face I found on the net. Makes it look more mechanical and alien (artistic license). The chest stripes, gauntlets and boot cuffs are blue vinyl. The ray gun is from CTVT.
