I know what you're thinking. That just looks like a regular classic Gorn. What gives? Well, I did say mild. First as always, the backstory. Like everyone else here, I had alot of the Trek Megos as a kid. When I got into this, it was mainly to reassemble all the figures I lost over time, since alot of repros were out. Over ten years ago when Diamond re released the Treks, I bought the aliens that were released, but I never had, like the Romulan and Mugato(lousy distribution back in the day). They did a Gorn, but "improved " it to look more accurate. I wanted to replace the classic one, so this didn't work for me. Since the repro Lizard figures were out now, and it's the "cheapest " of the Spidey set on Ebay, I was going to get a spare one for the head, to repaint. I then found an original head for only a couple bucks more, so I got that. The Klingon figures are still cheap, and I found a Type One with a complete outfit and belt for a great price. The customization comes in with me painting the hands and arms brown, and swapping heads. All I have to do is eventually get the red phaser and communicator. All vintage except for the paint job. The only Trek figure I need now is Neptunian, and only the Great Bird of the Galaxy knows when I'll get him. After over forty years, I have my Gorn back. Cost a little over $40 versus over $100 for loose ones.

If I’m not mistaken, a classic ape figure, will provide the correct body colour and hands. I could offer my Neptunian head, but it’s sitting on a Hulk body, right now
Nice work as usual! -
Yeah, I think you're right, but since I had the body with the outfit, I figured what the heck. The majority of my collection are customs and repros anyway. Might switch in the future. The Nep head on the Hulk body is a great idea. You made your own gamma mutate character.Comment
