A figure on every Mego fan's unrequited wants in the 70s. I've seen alot of pics of custom GRs ,so I had to try to do one for myself. Wanted to make it how I thought Mego would do it in the 70s. That meant I didn't want a head with the flames molded, as I don't think Mego would have done this. They would have mass produced skulls in case they wanted to make another figure that didn't have flames. I found a head sold by Reliving the Past on Ebay as a Red Skull head. A skull is a skull. Painted it as GR. To give the flame effect, I got a picture of flames on the net, cut it into a "tongue" of flame on photo paper,and placed it around his head and shoulders. I think Mego would have done something similar with vinyl or cardboard. The outfit is a blue bodysuit with black hero boots from CTVT. The chest design and belt are pictures printed on photo paper. Glued the chest design on, and put the belt on with 3M foam mounting tape. The foam puffs out the belt a little, and makes it look almost 3D.
