    Golden Age Batman & Robin

ve been on a bit of a creative streak lately. Some have just been easy mods and updates that just hit me (and I should have done previously), and some or more full custom ideas. I feel these fall in the middle and completes an idea I've had a for a little while. Robin just hit me and the rest came together pretty quickly.

Without further ado, here are my Golden Age Batman and Robin.

These were inspired by the old Hasbro 9" Golden Age set way back when. I always had a fondness for these, since the Target Exclusive Batman is what got me back into Toy collecting as an adult (apologies to my wife for that!).

This is what I was attempting to recreate:

Batman was simple enough. A Type S Upgrade body, FTC 1st Appearance Removeable Cowl Suit & Belt, FTC Filmation Batman Head & Gloves, FTC standard Batman cape, and Mattel Retro-Heroes boots.

Robin uses a Mego Storm Shadow body, the Hasbro 9" head that fit perfectly on a Mego bandless body, Big Lots 50th Robin tunic, shorts & shoes, CTVT hero gloves and CTVT teen Robin cape (and an assist from a LaserMego stand).

I am pretty happy with the final result, even if I see things that I will fuss with from time to time.

Wow. You did better than the store bought figure. Been a Golden Age fan since the All Star Squadron days. Love this incarnation of the character. Kane and Finger's original version. Got satisfying closure on Joe Chill (Batman vol 1 #47). Had a happy life later on. Married Selina, had a daughter, and got to see Dick grow into a successful man.
