When doing customs on a budget, I use the materials I have. I get to thinking," why do all heads have to be painted plastic?" "Why can't I reuse existing heads, and create new masks around them to create a new character?" This is why I like to do characters with robes and hoods. The body is classic Trek. Head is an old Spock with the mask molded and glued to the face. Molded and glued cloth to the head to create the hood. Painted the hands for skeleton effect. Essentially Mego Spock dressed as the Ghost. I see there's a member on the forum named Crimson Ghost. Maybe he'll like this one.

Use E600 glue. Great for fabric. The "shawl " is held on with 3m mounting tape. For the mask, I use a picture. Print it on photo paper. That makes the details pop. Mold it around the face. The e600 is easy to work with, and dries solid and firm.Comment

The glue will soften the paper enough to mold it around the face.. I wouldn't recommend it for people selling customs. Buyers might not like it, but for personal use, it makes a good display. Like the original megos. Joker and Penguin didn't have suits. It was pictures screen printed on body stocking, but it gave the illusion of suits. Sorta the same principle.Comment
