    Bronze Age Metallo

Bronze Age Metallo. Before the character became a Terminator knock-off, Roger Corben had a much more colorful appearance than his post-crisis successor (or predecessor, both of whom were John Corben. DC continuity is a major disaster). Had to basically sculpt the collar over sone posterboard using Apoxy Sculpt to go under the material to get the right shape and give it enough strength to hold up. Right after doing that, I absently mused it would be cool if you could see his Kryptonite heart. I then thought, yeah that actually would be cool, so I made the space in his chest and sculpted a chunk of Kryptonite. The chest cover comes off and can be replaced by the opened version, the Kryptonite can actually be taken out, and the rock has a coat of glow-in-the-dark paint, The head is resculpted from a modern Mego Happy Days Richie.

My favorite version of Metallo by far and this is top-notch. Love the "action-feature."

The 2008? character reboot was a nice nod to this version.

I just had to look at this again, it's so sweeeet.

I liked the recent DC Legends Metallo, too.

Great figure! Love the chest feature! I have always loved this design and find it far more interesting than Terminator rip-off, honestly.
