To buy the license would first require a company wanting to release them, assuming Doc wouldn't want to try and market them on his own which we all know is extremely highly unlikely.
Sadly I doubt there is a company out there that feels 8" figures of the characters from Flash Gordon would be marketable enough to even begin to make it cost effective to pursue.

True. Back in 01 I did some work with a Chinese manufacturer and one of the projects we floated out to the buyers network was a Flash Gordon line based on the then current comic strip by Jim Keefe...who was highly influenced by Alex Raymond and had returned the strip to those roots. The buyers loved the idea and we started pursuing it. To make a long story short...an aborted film version killed everything at the time (curse you Ashton Kutcher and Steve Sommers!!!).

My point is that buyers and corporate gatekeepers hold all the power. If you can get them on board, anything is possible. Granted 8 years is a long time in the toy biz, but if they were interested then, they may still be now....If anyone wants to do a Mego Classic Flash line I would be more than happy to point them to the right people.

Great figure by the way..just noticed my original response post is missing??? I love the wing solution..its very much like something Mego would have done, and keeps the look of the figure while adding great play function.
