I'm a big fan of the Left 4 Dead videogame. It really plays like a classic zombie movie. I thought it would be fun to create Mego customs for the game's 4 main characters.
Here they are on the card:
And here they are loose, battling the hordes of the "infected":
Not perfect, but kinda looks like the poster from the Blood Harvest campaign, right?
The figures are mostly kitbashed together from repro parts. My sources are pretty obvious, but just to point out a few tidbits:
The Louis head is Mace Windu, cast & painted by the incredibly talented Dave Mc. My pics don't do it justice-- truly great shrink and great paints.
Francis is a Hunter Dan figure (who also provided the shotgun). I repainted the eyes, which helped, but he still kinda looks like a creepy sex offender.
Zoe's windbreaker is from an old Super Joe outfit, and as predicted, never quite made it all the way from yellow to red... but I like it anyhow. If everything looked like it was supposed to, it wouldn't be Mego, right?
