Neal Adams Batman (Just the Box....)

Continuing the Neal Adams revision series of WGSH...Again, by the 70s this image was used much more frequently on merchandise I think than the original Infantino redraw that Mego used.

I think the magenta on the Batman box, along with the smiling, swinging Batman used to bother me, as the Darknight Detective version made popular by Adams is the one I recall most from that time period. But now I think the magenta works just fine and pops against the blue and greys of Bats. So I kept it.

I prefer the box colors that offset the character better than the ones that more match the character. Your Metamorpho box being the exception.

        Love it!!!

Chalk it up to how I remember Batman Comics, but that version of Batman is what I think of instantly and I'm sure the same goes for many of you.

        Beautiful Box!!!!!

That Image Probably is the Most Imbeded Image of Batman ever in My Mind... He looks great on a Box too.

That is sweet, Anthony. That shot to me, just like BK, is the quentissential image of Batman. I'd love to track down that treasury book. I've got the Rha's a Gul book and I need this one.

On a side note, are the hero shots on the side of the box also Adams art? If so, very nice touch.

All around great box. Adams rules.

Nice box Anthony! Neal Adams is my all time favorite artist for Batman and that box pays perfect tribute to many of his best illustrated characters. Sweet!

anyone remember that great Adams Superman vs. Ali comic book cover? I can see a two pack window box for Ali and Superman figures. Or even a cardback version.
