    Smokin' Joe Frazier

My latest custom is a dream come true for me. Being a huge boxing fan, my Muhammad Ali figure has always been a favorite of mine along with his opponent (Ken Norton). At the top of my wish list of unmade figures wasn’t Lex Luthor or Green Lantern, it was always Smokin’ Joe Frazier.

Anyone who knows boxing, knows Frazier was the “real” people’s champion, not big-mouth Ali. The character of Rocky Balboa hitting slabs of meat and running up the steps was taken from Smokin’ Joe.

I picked up an extra Ali body from eBay and did a sad job of making his robe/trunks. I sent Austin a head from Jakks Rocky Balboa line for enlargement and he did an incredible job as you can see. A little paint and super glue….and presto.....you got the biggest rivalry in the history of boxing.

Still to come, a young George Foreman to complete the set.
