Hello, everyone. I have been lurking on the forums for a while now... and I guess I got inspired by seeing all the great customs that you guys have been posting!
Original Super Joe Commander head on a Cast-a-way body (to get those classic "kung fu grip" hands). Outfit is all original Super Joe accessories... although Super Joe was just a shade taller, so I had to roll up his sleeves a bit.

The Super Joe head is a different setup than the Mego headplug (it's an "inny" instead of an "outy"). So after hours of struggling in vain with Sculpty, I decided to go a different route.... I had a sturdy plastic ballpoint pen that fit inside the head hole perfectly. So I just cut down the pen, and wrapped it with masking tape until I had a super snug fit. Felt kinda like I was cheating, but it worked great.
As a kid, I often mixed and matched my Super Joes and my Star Trek Megos, making Joe part of the crew. So, I also tried putting him in a Trek uniform... for old times sake.

Building him was a blast, and brought back a ton of great childhood memories. I think I'm hooked.
