    Custom Trek.

Well, I took some pictures of some of my Trek stuff. When I loaded the images up from the SD card they came in kinda crappy...Looked ok on the camera and in my viewer, so I'm going to blame the card. Sorry for the crappy quality (pictures and customs, as the case may be!?).

Mudd, Dehner, and Gary heads by Other Dude. Kirks outfit by Dave Mc, Dehners uniform by Theressa. Mudd's wear by Mego and CTVT.

As I've mentioned before I usually put stuff together in themes. In the case of most of these pictures, we see episodes I came up with for a Phase II themed series. This picture is from the a two parter loosely based on the Paramount supplied script for Star Trek 5 The Final Frontier.

The Enterprise intercepts a general distress call from one "Captain James T. Walsh". His ship has lost power and he has been forced to land on the planet Delta Vega. Quickly figuring out Walsh is really Harry Mudd, Kirk orders the Enterprise to DV.

Arriving on Delta Vega, a heavily armed landing crew finds only one person. Dr. Dehner...the Psychologist from the infamous mission that cost Lee Kelso his life, and forced Kirk to kill his best friend Gary Mitchell. Dehner is alive and seemingly without her former god like powers (see the episode Where No Man Has Gone Before if you dont know what I'm talking about). she tells Kirk that Gary and herself somehow revived some time after the events of that episode. He, like herself, was without powers. They managed to survive but it was a struggle. When Mudd landed, Gary took advantage of the opportunity. He fixed Mudds craft and promised to lead Mudd to a planet of unsurpassed riches and wonders. The place where all life began (Eden, Vorta Vor, Sha Ka Ree, yadda, yadda). Dehner refused to go. She said Gary hadnt taken well to living a normal life again, and had lost his mind. Kept babbling about going home. Dehner was afraid their powers might resurface, and chose isolation.

After McCoy clears her as healthy, Kirk takes her onboard the Enterprise to help track down Gary (Whom she claims talks to her in her dreams). Spock manages to lock onto Mudds warp signature and a course is set...towards the galactic barrier at the edge of the galaxy...the very place where Gary and Elizabeth received their powers!

Throughout the journey, Dehner begins acting stranger and stranger, as she too starts talking about going home.

At the barrier, a planet can be clearly seen..on the far side of the barrier disturbance. Spock has tracked Mudds ship there. Scotty determines the new Enterprise shields should be able to take the shock of the barrier....Kirk is still hesitant to go through, after what happened last time, its too dangerous. McCoy for once, is happy with the Captains decision. During this briefing, Dehner slips into some kind of trance. All she keeps saying is "I'm Home!". She is sedated, and taken to sick bay.

Back on the bridge, Gary Mitchell has appeared on the view screen. He approves of the new ship, and looking over the crew, finds its distatefull that Spock is still there. He acknowledges Scott and Sulu as well. Kirk tries to talk to him, find out whats going on, what happened to Harry Mudd? Gary , sounding as he did before, instead talks about how he is above al lthis now....Now that he is a GOD! At that point the Enterprise lurches, then starts travelling into the barrier. Gary has control of the ship now, and theres nothing our valiant crew can do to stop him or the Enterprise.

Crashing through, relatively unscathed, the mighty ship enters orbit around the planetoid. Despite there being no sun, the planet registers as class M, and there are two human life forms on the surface. Gary appears again ordering Kirk and Dehner to the surface..."Dont make me come up there and get you Jim!"

Beaming down, Kirk and Dehner find Harry Mudd sitting unhappily on a Scrooge McDuck like pile of gold and jewels in a lush tropical jungle.
"None of its real Jimmy". "Look"---waving his hand, the jungle and gold vanish, replaced by a great desert. Mudd waves again, and the desert is gone, replaced by the bridge of the TOS era Enterprise. "Whatever I think of he gives me...anything really....except people. I'm alone Jimmy Boy...at least until you and this enchanting lady arrived. I was even starting to miss...gulp...Stella!"

Kirk and his "landing party" search out Gary, and discover that Gary and Elizabeth were posessed by two denizens of this world. The Organians locked tham away here untold ages ago. Their evil sides as it were. The only way through the barrier is with host bodies..the Enterprise crew, and a ship powerfull enough to withstand the barrier...a ship like the Enterprise! (Dun-dun-dunnnn!)

Realizing the only way to break Gary's hold on the ship is to tax his powers to the limit (if he has one). Kirk and Mudd gang up on him, Harry creating more and more extravegent fantsy worlds, while Kirk fires his "judo style" logic at Gary, trying to trip him up. This works, Spock sees his chance and beams up Kirk, Dehner, and Mudd while ordering the tactical officer (an Andorian named Sh'ral) to bombard the planet. The Gary "entity" returns fire, and the enterprise is taking a pounding. Scotty isnt happy!!!

In the transporter room, Dehner demands Kirk return her to the planet. She's no longer Dehner anymore, shes one of them...she belongs here. Besides she may be able to ensure the Enterprise makes it back through the barrier.

Kirk complies. The attack stops, and Kirk and crew get the heck outa there. McCoy ribs Spock about something, Kirk tells Harry hes going back to rehab, everybody laughs, and we see the ship warping off to the next episode.

"April" head and Pike head painted by Dave MC. Of course April is actually James Brady's Roddenberry head.

    The Return of Captain Pike!

I'll try to keep this one a bit more brief.

Starfleet receives a call from the Talos star group. They request a ship be sent urgently for Captain Pike. The Enterprise is the natural choice, but is too far out to get there right away. Another ship, the new Excelsior, is undergoing a test cruise and isnt far away. Aboard her, Captain Styles and Rear Admiral Robert April decide to answer the call, fearing Captain Pike has died.
Arriving at Talos, the Excelsior discovers the planet is in severe duress. Fires burn on its surface as volcanos explode, belching fire and sh into the atmosphere. New forest growth and fields of crops can be seen...planted during Pikes exile, but even it is burning. Before the planet was a wasteland...now it looks like hell!

A Talosian appears on the monitor...even he/she looks like Hell. Clothes worn, burnt. Severe scars on its head. Cordinates are given, and the Excelsior is asked to beam up Capt. Pike and take him away from here...far away, then the transmission ends.
April and a medical team await Pike in the transporter room and are shocked to see him. He is no longer in a wheel chair...in fact he looks better than he did during his time as Captain of the Enterprise. The CMO confirms it. Pike is healthier than ever??

Pike tells his old friend and former Captain, April, about what happened. The Talosians scanned the Enterprise data banks, both when Pike was there, and when Kirk was there. They decided they now had enough knowledge to restore Pike and Vina to full health. They tried first with Pike and suceeded. Vina wasnt so lucky, and died. The Talosians never told Pike about any of this....not that Vina died...nor that he was now restored to full health. Slowly, Pike realized what had happened. He now had full run of the underground facilities, and discovered Vinas dead body on display in a lab. He snapped! Not only that, but his anger reawakened the Talosians fierocity, and they started up their ancient war once again! This time nearly destroying the planet they and Pike and Vina had worked so hard to reclaim. It was decided Pike had to leave!

The Enterprise rendevous' with Excelsior, and April and Pike beam over to inspect the newly refit ship. Pike isnt exactly sociable...even complaining about what they've done to his ship. Oddest of all, he avoids Spock like the Plaque! During one outburst he becomes violent, and Spock has to neck pinch him!
McCoy and Chapel, in a meeting with April, Kirk, Styles, the Excelsiors Psychologist and Spock, arent surprised with Pikes behaviour in light of what happened. They decide Pike needs to go to a medical starbase for some rest before returning him to Earth.

Meanwhile, proving himself worthy of his Starship Captains heritage, Pike awakes in sick bay, takes out his two guards and Dr M'Benga, and sneaks off to the transporter room, where he does a couple of flying judo kicks ala kirk, and takes out the operator. After a moments hesitation to familiarize himself with the controls, he then beams himself over to the Excelsior.

Seems one of the warring Talosian factions still has mental control of Pike and use him as an antenna to take over the minds of the Excelsior crew. Pike, himself thinking he is commanding the old Enterprise (complete with seeing his old crew in place of the Excelsiors) orders the ship back to Talos, where he uses its awesome firepower to attack the more peacefull (and currently in control) Talosians....Thinking they are a Klingon occupation force, attacking Earth.

The Enterprise is of course in full pursuit. Being that Talosians cant (for some mumbo jumbo reason) control Deltans, Ilea is tasked with boarding the Excelsior and ...as Scotty says "Stoppin' up the plumbing".

Xon and Saavik are sent along, with hopes they can resist the illusory powers as well. Spock didnt go..Pike knows him too well, as do the Talosians, and he knows he is subseptible to their powers (being half human afterall!).

Xon and Saavik it turns out, are not immune, and as soon as they board the ship turn on Ilia, whom they each see as a different personal demon of some sort. Ilea gets to show off her great Deltan strength by fighting off the two Vulcans, and stunning them with her phaser. She then proceeds to follow Scotts instructions and depowers the Excelsior Trek III style.

It seems everything is going to be all right, when Suddenly the relief tactical officer on the Enterprise thinks he sees a giant beast attack the ship and fires photon torpedoes before anyone can stop him. Then...all is quiet. Both crews watch their viewers as a lone Talosian appears. He tells both crews what just happened. How his people used both ships as instruments of war..as they had done in the old days...and then says "It is over now. You are free to leave".

Pike lashes out--" Just like that. After everything you did...to Vina...to the other captives..to Me....TO YOURSELVES! You still think of yourselves as superior. You still see us as...as playthings...dont you? Havent you learned anything in my time with you...didnt you learn anything about compassion...regret? God help me, I wish you had let this finish...I wish you had destroyed yourselves!"

"We did learn Christopher. We learned too well. Captain Kirk...It was I who forced your officer to fire. If you will scan the planet, you will find I am the only survivor. "
"You have your wish Christopher...The last one we...I..can grant you. I am injured and will die soon. Our race to be remembered only as you see us. Remember us Christopher...Perhaps it is you who can learn from our errors...."

just then the screen goes dead and Spock reports no life signs on Talos 4.

WOW! They look fantastic. The "kinda crappy" pictures give them even more of a 70's look. Kinda like they were made and photographed back then! Great stories too.
