    Kneel before Zod...

Not that cool movie version, no, this Zod was banished to the phantom zone long before the movie. After seeing the Commander X figures, I knew I'd make this guy. Kind of a kit bash. his head is a reworked Mr Fantastic, Castaway body w/ mego hands, boots hat and belt are from Commander X, suit is mine but I thought a Tinman body suit would have worked just fine, then I looked and figured out I didn't have one.

    That looks great Ed!

This is Zod in my book. That movie guy was just a blowhard in a German Disco suit from the seventies!

Cool, I remember this Zod. There is a really cool Superman mini series called the Phantom Zone, drawn by Gene Colan. Some of my fav comics. Super!

Ed, as I mentioned before, this is really an itch I've wanted
to see scratched...it's so tempting to go in other directions
with the character (even for the 70s alone!),
but to conquer the "Mego-era comicbook" approach with Zod
seems like a worthy "mission" that is little travelled.

I love the decisions you made with the sun logo and honorable mention to
CASTAWAY TOYS for providing what I think is the definitive 8 inch scale
version of that type of hat, a hat which is so key to the figures image.

I love that Superman Rogues Gallery---and Zod is yet another beauty to add to it

                              Rock on Ed.
