I wanted to make a Hercules for a long time but felt the Mego body was way too wimpy for Hercules. I have been working with body hybrids and I created a 8 1/2 body by using the upper torso and arms of the muscular Famous Covers body and shortening the legs and repositioning the heels and feet.
The Hercules head came from junior. He sent me a bunch of bearded looking Jerusalem Jesus and Pals type heads for an original project. One of the heads I removed the turban and re-sculpted a head piece for Hercules.
I sewed up the paints and the belt and boots are a lightweight leather I put together to make Hercules look authentic.
It seems like the more time I put into a figure, the more detail I add to him when I start, poke and prod at him for a week. My girlfriend (who is also an artist) has been sharing her artistic input to my current figures and we seem to be a custom team that works out well when we put our mind together.

Here is Hercules with the Avengers. After making this Hercules, my next project is to create another body and put Thor mego repo parts on the body because Thor is 1/2 smaller then Hercules now and it don't look right.
