Nothing really special here. I have been working on a "bigger guy" body that would be compatible for mego characters as far as size wise.
This is my second attempt at Venom. The first one sucked pretty bad. I used shiney gloss paint and tried to create a slime look. He just wound up looking like garbage.
I took apart a Famous Cover's Black Spiderman suit and resewed it and cut it to fit this new body hybrid I am creating. I did a leg transplant last night bringing Venom to a good 8 inches. He stands well with Spidey.

"Oh thank you Spider-man. Thank you. Thank you."

Under the mask, I decided to incorporate that horrible Peter Parker head that Famous Covers used. It fit well as Eddie Brock.

Awhile ago, they made a hard plastic figure for a movie Dr. Octopus that came to about seven inches tall. I robbed the figure of it's tentacles and head (see my Dr. Octopus figure).

The arms, torso and leg were way too muscular for Dr. Octopus. I took the torso to the grinder in my shop and took off the big fat gut. I then took the legs off one of those 9" Star Trek dolls and transplanted them in place of the short stubby legs.
With some sculpty, hard grinding and a lot of measuring, I finally pieced the hybrid together.
Then, I cut and reswen the Famous Covers Black Spiderman costume to fit the new hybrid body and presto....
My own custom body is born.
I am going to see if I can hunt down a few more of these bodies. The figure only came out once and it was quick. So I am judging there is not a lot of these Dr. Octopus movie figures that were made. I am going to eBay. I like the outcome of this body so much I am going to do another "Big guy" 8" guy for someone later.
