Edgar Rice Burrough's Outlaw of Torn

One of my favorite books when I was a kid, Outlaw of Torn was written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Henry III of England insults Sir Jules de Vac, who takes his vengeance by kidnapping young Prince Richard. The Frenchman de Vac, once the king's fencing master, raises the boy to be a simple, brutal killing machine with a hatred of all things English.
As Norman, the Outlaw of Torn, the young man becomes the greatest swordsman in England and a fearless outlaw with a price upon his head who raises an army loyal only to him. The key thing i was trying to acheive with this figure was that he looked like a fierce killer with the helmet on but like a young noble man with it off.

Head is from BK and paints by me. For somereason this head goes real good with a red cape.

Body and boots are Cast A Ways

Helmet is a modified Dr Mego helmet

Breast Plate was made from wood glue. Thanks to Gman for posting that info on how to do that.

    Scalemail is painted snakeskin.

Wow, that is really something extra special right there. Great job!!

I really like that head mold. Is that of anyone in particular, or is it by chance that it had striking features?

Holy ****, that is friggin awesome.
Breast plate made from wood glue and painted snake skin? Those have to be the weirdest materials ever used on a custom, but man they look smashing
Very impressive work as well on the shoulder plates, the gloves and the scabbard
