No problem. I remember David Gerrold talking about him and Gene Roddenberry tossing ideas back and forth about how to incapacitate the crew in that particular episode. Gene was playing around with a dodecahedron he had on his desk as a decoration and one of them suggested that the aliens turn the crew into those things. And the rest is history.

So wyldpny, how many custom trek figures have you done now? I've lost count, but it must be in the hundreds...and each one is just as good (or even better) than the last. Nice work sir...and kudos to your hardworking wife as well!

I believe it is safe to assume that Mego would not have done an "ish" color, like brownish red, or an orangish or redish something, etc.
They would probably have done a more solid primary color like the red seen here. It is still a watered down red color mixed with a flesh color. The camera flash lights it up and makes it look a brighter red than it actually is.
But it's that fine line my wife and I have had to walk at times between making the figures VERY screen accurate creating intricate trim and/or a complex skin color to making a more basic Mego style figure. Mego was about basic details, since the more the details meant more the cost.

They were a reddish brown (or a brownish red), but I think this is close to what Mego would've done
