    THOR!! God of Thunder!!!

After Iron Man worked out so well, I wanted to work out the rest of the original Avengers lineup. I always wanted Thor to look a lot more Viking and less superhero-y. After reading the Hellboy book Bones of Giants in which the body of Thor and his hammer were found, I really liked the idea of the Norse Gods being taller than us mere mortals. He's built up on a 12 inch figure from Big Lots, with the legs cut down a bit to give him better proportions, lots of pleather for the costume, helmet and belt from some 1/6th historical figure, and Mjolnir is sculpted with a wood and pleather handle and sort of modeled after Mignola's from Bones of Giants. Cape from a FC Scarlet Witch.

And a couple groups shots so far. The first one came out freaky, not sure how I did it.

Next up hopefully is Doc Banner, who should make Thor look short.

I gotta redo the pics, I pushed the helmet down further and it looks a lot better.

Great job, I love the tunic detailing.

Banner next sounds cool, but what I really want is to see your take on the Vision.

Funny you should mention that. I've been looking at the Golden Age Vision for inspiration. I've always thought the android version's costume was to busy.

Verily this Odinson looks like he could wipeth the floor with a certain Blue clad Boyscout. It is a well met project O shaper of plastic.

                  hiya tbolt,

                  ver nice.

Old skool avengers are on my big list. I like your take on 'em. Can't wait to see the green (or grey) skinned goliath standing next to the odinson, cap, and old buckethead.
