    General Trelane

I was amazed by James Brady and Dave Mc's Trelane custom. The likeness is really incredible. Even though I didn't remember the Trek episode with Trelane's appearance, I liked the Brady sculpt so much I had to buy it from Dave Mc. I couldn't find much motivation to actually build a custom figure with the head, so it sat around for a long time. Then, I was looking through my box of custom parts trying to figure out what to do with the extras when a light went off. The Blackbeard pirate coat looks like Trelane's, just the wrong color. I didn't think Mego would miss a chance to recycle, so I through together this innaccurate custom using leftover parts. When I get a chance, I might remake the coat in a similar style with blue material.

    Parts used:
CTVT Blackbeard coat and shirt, CTVT tan pants and black boots, Dave Mc's casting of James Brady's Trelane head (painted by me).
    Looking for:

I wonder if you could just sew up that blue material and then add embelishments with 3D fabric paint???

It works. Mego probably would have done just that but in blue.

Yours looks great. Just make him a cape. IMO, that type of guy would change his clothes every 15min anyway.

Looks great to me. Heck I'm sure he had more than one color suit! (We just never saw it during his episode!)

Looking good and probably what Mego would've done. Seeing how they didn't always go for accuracy they probably would've used that same coat in the same color
