Bruce W. Wolf from Monster Squad

Man, I can't remember the last time I posted a finished custom. One of my favorite shows as a kid is Monster Squad, which sort of combined the Universal Monsters with the 60's Batman show. Bliss.

I planned on launching them all together but seeing as this project has taken me 3 months to finish one figure, I thought I'd show the first one I'm happy with.

Still want to swap out the pants (Bruce has Green pants and these CTVT things refuse to be dyed) and shirt but for now, I'm pleased. I sculpted the werewolf features over a Klingon head.

Bruce was played by Buck Kartilian, who was also Julius in the original Planet of the Apes. I met him once but didn't know he was Bruce at the time, I'd have been all over him.

Props to Anthony (Toyroom) for providing me with the card template. His belt broke putting him into the Superclam, have to rejigger that.

Wow! Talk about a blast from the past - I had completely forgotten about the Moster Squad. Now I can't wait to see the rest of them completed. Great work B!

I remember the show well...featured a pre-Love Boat, pre-Congress Fred Grandy...I seem to recall this was around the time that NBC was showing live action stuff like the Red Hand Gand and Big John Little John and Muggsy (but my dates may be off)..a cult classic indeed.

Awesome figure, Brian! It seems like the nice kind of quick-in and out line that Mego should have snagged the rights too but didn't.

Will you be doing a Walt the night watchman (Fred Grandy) as part of the Monster Squad line?

                            He's MIA on Bruce's card.
