    Peter Parker new hair/head sculpt

Yes, I know. This isn't the greatest custom but.....

I have been back working on those alter ego figures and I came back to Peter Parker. It always bothered me that they used a Shazam head. It wasn't bad unless you are my daughter and you are playing with them. She has asked me on several occasions if Peter Parker is related to Shazam (jokingly)

Last night I decided to sculpt Peter Parker hair that makes him look more like he does in the comics. I am also in the process of doing a Venom head sculpt. My sculpting abilities seem to be improving. Takes a bit to get used to.

Jessica made these blue jeans for Peter Parker. If you'd like a pair, PM her. They are amazing jeans. They even have pockets.

Don't feel bad, my nine year old daughter hates her to. Says she is a scary looking woman.

Blame that on Famous Covers. That is where I got that head. You don't see too many Aunt May head sculpts out there.

He does look good. Nicely done by all.

                Hey Cat...

Which Spiderman issue did you use as a reference for his hair?

Well, there have been so many transitions of Peter Parker through the years in comics it was hard to just pick a hair idea because it really depends on who the artist was.
I have a friend who (has a really dull life) transferred all the episodes of the Spider man 90's cartoon from VHS (he tapped them) to DVD for me and my daughter. My daughter loves that show and I think it was probably the best cartoon based on a super hero comicbook ever made as far as I am concerned as far as closeness to a comic book and looks go.

You just will never see it get any closer ever again. Too many "aritists" think they can muck up art these days with crappy computer animation along with too many writers add their own spin on stuff these days.

So, I decided to use the Peter Parker hair idea from that animated television series. My daughter relates to it and it worked out better on the mego head.

^^^ that's what I thought! When I first saw it I thought it looked like the animated version from the 90's more so than any of the comic artists who drew Spidey (Ditko, Romita, Larsen, McFarlane, etc...)
