Wizard of Oz: Winged Monkey

I've been wanting to do this custom for a long time. This completes all my planned Oz customs. Parts used: Head: Mattel monkey head shrunk down by Austin at Reproheads. I painted it and added the cap; Body: CTVT 5" body; Hands and feet are Doc Mego Ape feet; Body suit hand sewn by me; Jacket and wings are from the Mattel monkey.

Hallelujah. Very nice. I started one of these 10 years ago but never finished it. Great job.

Of all the characters that Mego should have added to existing lines I put the Flying Monkey right up there with Green Lantern or Sulu in terms of "How could they not have done that?" It's so obvious and so cool.

Is that the most recent Barbie monkey from the Winkie monkey set? There was one made several years ago, but I have had a hekuva time tracking the older model down.
