    12" Mego Thing

This is a project I was commissioned to do at the beginning of the summer and I just wanted to share some in-progress pictures.

I need to hem the feet a little bit more, add a fabric belt to cover the stitching, and sew a snap on the back.

I also think I should go with the larger of the two heads shown.

    Constructive criticism welcome.

I like it. I think with a 12 inch figure you may have to paint in the rocks on the Thing's head because at that size it does really show. Just my opinion. Once you fix up the feet like you said I think it looks really good. Nice job Austin!

How'd you do those hands and attach them to the Hulk body?

This looks amazing. I want it.

I enlarged a set of 8" Mego Thing forearms and then "Frankensteined" them to the 12" Mego Hulk biceps.

What a great project! I definitely like the larger head. Just like mego would have made too.

Best custom I've seen in a long while. I'm surprised more 12" mego customs aren't posted here. I'd love to make a 12" enlarged mego Klingon or Kirk.

Saw this in person. It's soooo Mego-Accurate, you would believe it to be a proto. Only giveaway is today's material is so much softer than Mego fabric.

As for the head, compare them to a Hulk and Spidey. Whichever matches, wins.

Fantastic work! I too like the bigger head. Makes it look like the 8 inch perfectly scaled up. Very, very impressive!
