    The Thing...in progress

Been working on the Fantastic Four for about 2 months. Finished with the other three....Ben is the last one. After I finish placing the rocks, he will be repainted to match the head.

This is like working a jigsaw puzzle...with no picture to follow

It might look more cool to paint the head to match the rocks.

^ I thought about that...but I've got too many different shades of rocks. And he's pretty orange.

Where did you get the rocks? Are they flat on the back?

Awesome! I'm doing something similar with craftfoam and it is fairly maddening. Ambitious to say the least.

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

Off the school playground. Most do have a flat surface to glue to the body. You have to get creative with some.

I love this idea, that is so awesome. It's going to look great!

I was wondering what the weight of the figure ends up being.
Does it make it hard for him to stand?

I agree. Tough to get more realistic than that.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

He is heavier to be sure, but that makes him easier to stand. He can still be posed - I made sure his joints could move.
