This project has been in a bit of limbo over these last few months. I am also getting tired of looking at this half completed project on my floor.

I finally went ahead and made the control room this thing needed. I used black poster board for this and that totals 4 pieces. I then scanned these pieces so when I glue on the
control panels they should fit fine with no real issues.

The forth piece is actually the floor of this room.

Below are some pics showing how this was before and then after. At the bottom of that are the control room panels which I graciously
borrowed from online and that being custom found art, toy stickers (which some of you will recognize) and a few other goodies. I then used photoshop to merge them into this technological mess
you see before you. I wanted this thing to have a super look like that. Just a mad mix of all sorts of buttons and controls for whatever this thing may do.

I did seal the printed up panels with clear contact paper. I plan to use hot glue to attach the room walls and possibly Elmer's glue to attach the paper panels to the walls.

I originally wanted to create a 3d pop control room but the space is limited as is and using extra poster board to create that pop up keyboard from the control panel wall would not work too well, so everything is kept flat

Thank you! I still have quite a ways to go, but for the rough work in progress I finally put the paper panels on the walls and flooring. I used hot glue for the poster board panels and I did end up using Elmers to attach the paper. I am also going to fix it so you do not see that rough foam/paper boarder which you can notice by the door. Also I need to figure out exactly where I plan on putting the 3 on/off electric switches this thing is going to have. I might have them close to the door

Excuse the pics below. The clear contact paper was giving my camera hell and had all sorts nastiness from the flash I had to use, but you can now see the control panel in place.

Had another mild break and the dove right in (pics should be at the bottom)

I had to re-do the control room panels. Believe it or not for whatever reason, the Elmer's glue that originally held the control room panels to the foam board eroded away. I never saw anything like that but something in the clear contact sheets must not like Elmer's glue.

In the end I ended up using hot glue to do the job and also to reinforce/seal up any holes or gaps in the panels.

I then took some black vinyl tape and neatened up the ends of the control room so you do not see the foam

I finally got around to fully splicing and wiring this thing up.
You can see in some of the photos below the fun wire work. I ended up crazy gluing the four on/off switches to the roof of the toy. I mounted the headlights on a drinking straw I cut to fit across the toy.

I also decided to add in an extra light for the control room. I made a fake casing for this using a sanded down transparent cap from an old hairspray bottle.

I then made a fake roof from poster board to hide the wiring as much as possible. I used black vinyl electric tape to cover the poster board. I then used Velcro tape to attach this to the roof of the toy. I did this should I ever need to re-do the wiring or replace a wire I can now access it easy by just lifting off the Velcro roof

I also made a ghetto door hinge that now keeps the door closed. I used one of those plastic shelf pieces that holds a shelf in place (like a book shelf you would buy in Wal-Mart lets say), and used a taped up paperclip and hot glue for the door hinge lock. When you turn the shelf piece it will lock and unlock the door.

In order to power the lights I have a 9 volt battery for that. The way this toy is designed it has the main compartment for the re-chargeable battery and then a sort of dead space cubby right next to it. If I sand this out a 9 volt fits perfectly in this spot, so that is what I did. I did also have to slightly sand down the battery cover for the 9 volt spot but it now closes without any issue

I also was trying to find a toy chair so two figures can sit in the control room. This past weekend a trip to Hobby lobby in the doll section fixed that for me. They were selling super small scale wooden chairs that I just need to paint up and glue in place

Once that is done it is just a matter of putting the antennae back under the velcro roof and hot gluing in the control room and then onto the outside cosmetic's of the toy

LOVE the Eagle Force and MAC angle for this vehicle- I had one MAC and one Ja-Ru knockoff many moons ago, and loved them immensely, without knowing that MAC was even a thing (I grew up WAAY out in the sticks. With the wolves.) but was still able to boast a complete set of Eagle Force figures, with weapons.... Good times.
