Man, I need one of these. Do the heads come already painted?Comment

I've seen the unpainted ones on eBay. Just wondered if he sold any already painted. I'd have to get someone here to paint one for me cuz I have no skills in that area.Comment

thanks Steve. I bought brand new brushes cuz I knew the detail was gonna be small.
I didn't get the left eyeball right, and now that they're good and dry today, I might go in and rework the bottom of that eyeball and add pupils.
Just to explain my process for those interested, here's how I did it.
Total paint time was 30 minutes or so.
I used two brushes and water based acrylics - brown, white, black, blue and red.
squirt a dab onto a paper plate, dip large brush in water, drag/stir an edge of the paint dab (thank you Bob Ross).
I thin paint out like this to let it get absorbed nice in the bristles and it flows easier for me on hairlines and large surfaces.
Steve's hair was done in four stages - dry between each coat, paint gets thicker (use less water) for each coat.
Eyebrows done in same four-step fashion but with a very fine brush.
In between hair stages, applied black eye liner to the eye, careful to fill juuuust under the upper eye lid without bleeding over it.
Only once it's dry, using fine brush, apply white and cover up about half of the black you just laid - this process took me a couple goes.
The white flows along the lower eye lid just as you did with the black...careful to not bleed over the eye lid.
Seeing how i was probably going back to another stage of the hair, the eyes have good time to dry.
Once eyes are dry, apply a dot of black for the eyeball outline.
I usually breathe/blow a little to help speed up drying on little things like that...then I mix a bit of white & blue, thinned with water a bit and apply the blue to the eyeball.
While that is drying, more hair...
Then mixed a little white & red...really thinned down more than usual, and apply one light swipe to the bottom lip.
Now, it's been 24 hours and I'll either leave it, or go in and tweak it...but tweaking has not been one of my better talents..Comment

I know, right? I mean, this is what I saw in my head when the official product was announced - and that topic has been debated to death so I won't go into it.
But I bet I get a couple more of these heads eventually.
Gotta give mad props to Theresa on the outfit too...nailed it.Comment

So, I'm messing around with his bionics...not really digging it so far, but this one was kinda neat.
Printed the forearm in clear PLA and drew a quick graphic.
Drilled out the port for the wrist joint, which allowed me to insert the graphic kind of like a ship in a bottle...
Snap the wrist in and walla.
